It is a beautiful monastery of Guru Rinpoche that is located at 900 metres above sea level at upper Paro valley of Bhutan. Buddha Dordenma Statue is the giant statue of Sakyamuni Buddha which was built while celebrating the 60th anniversary of the fourth Bhutanese king, Jigme Singye Wangchuck. It is known as the major tourist attracting site of Thimphu and has a soothing environment for sightseeing. Buddha Dordenma Statue is one of the largest Buddha rupas in the world with a height of 52 metres.


Chele La Pass

Chele La Pass is the highest pass in Bhutan which is located at an altitude of 3989 metres above sea level. Chele La Pass is 35 km away from Paro Valley. It is the best point to get the fantastic view of entire Paro Valley and Haa Valley and on a clear day, the panoramic view of Jomolhari Mountain can also be seen from Chele La Pass.


Rinpung Dzong

Rinpung Dzong is one of the famous monasteries in Bhutan and also acts as the Monastic Body of Governance for the region. It is another great attraction of Paro Valley which is also known as Paro Monastery. Rinpung Dzong is also included in UNESCO lists for future World Heritage Sites.


Chomolhari

Chomolhari

Chomolhari is the name of the mountain with a height of 7326 metres. It is also known as Jomolhari and it lies between the border of Tibet and Bhutan. Chomolhari is also famously regarded as "the bride of Kanchenjunga" and the mountain is the source of Paro River as well. Chomolhari is the most famous trekking spot in Bhutan that gives the best view of the Himalayas.
